Mosaic Job Cafe will meet early Monday in Vancouver Wash. to network and discuss the way ahead for the economy in Vancouver and Portland. Guest Speaker from Vancouver Economic Development Council. The networking group is for jobseekers and is open to the public.
Mosaic Job Café, Monday, Dec. 6 from 7:15am to 8:30am at First Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd Street, Vancouver, (Corner of 33rd and Main)
Agenda
7 - 7:15 make coffee and set up- visit
7:15-7:30 - intro to the 'new face of the cafe' and any interviews to report past or future (please bring the job description with you)- tools
7:30 - 8:15 - TOPIC: Board Member Michele Paulson, who understands Finance and Treasury, has asked a member of the Vancouver Economic Development Council to come and speak to us about what the heck has been going on for the past 2 years and where Vancouver is hoping to go in 2011. With the elections over and a new political agenda, it is time to listen to what's going on behind the scenes and ask the questions that we do not 'normally' get to ask. You will definitely want to invite your friends and even if you are NOT from Vancouver, economic development in Portland and Vancouver are a team effort...so whether living in Vancouver or not, you will definitely want to hear how our communities plan and see things.
Remember to get your profile up to date and clear, bring $1 for coffee and of course whatever you need to take notes with. She will have a Q and A so bring your questions.
8:15 - 8:30 wrap up and close
8:30-8:40 Clean up, and vacate hall- this allows for a more personal networking focus outside the cafe. We need to know each other before recommending each other..
Please watch the calendar for upcoming speakers and invite your friends and colleagues... the better attended the cafe is, the more companies will want to share themselves with us.
