Are you interested in buying a home? Or are you a homeowner struggling with oversize mortgage payments? Help is at hand.

The African American Alliance for Homeownership will hold the 15th annual African American Homeownership Fair from 10am -3 pm Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Legacy Emanuel Hospital atrium, 501 N. Graham St., Portland.  Free and open to everyone, the fair is designed to help first-time homebuyers purchase homes, and also to help homeowners struggling to pay their mortgages or facing foreclosure.  

If you want to buy a home and need help to find the best possible deal for you, the fair will have all the information you need to get started. This year's fair also includes a bus tour of homes for sale, which will leave at noon and return at 2pm. Entry is first-come first-served.

The fair brings together more than 40 housing specialists, lenders and homebuyers  for a day of workshops, counseling and family fun.

Enter to win $1000 grant toward a down payment, as well as other great prizes. The fair also features:  free lunches, free parking and free workshops.
